When did Mahindra initiate boat manufacturing? |
| |
The Mahindra Group forayed into boat manufacturing by launching its first model, the Mahindra Odyssea 22, at the 3rd Mumbai International Boat Show in Feb 2009. Mahindra is the first corporate to undertake
such a venture in India.
|
 |
What made Mahindra venture into boat building? And that too in these times? |
| |
It has been the Group’s dynamic vision to position Mahindra as an integral part of the entire transportation spectrum. After taking on the toughest terrains with its tractors, UVs, cars, two wheelers, three wheelers, getting on the waters is the natural extension. Moreover, India’s vast untapped coastline is just waiting to be explored and in need for a boat made for Indian boaters and for Indian waters. At present, boating is still perceived as an exclusive privilege for a select few entailing hassles of maintenance and management. Mahindra Odyssea aims to change that by introducing the boating lifestyle to all and ensuring a hassle free buying experience.

What is involved in maintaining the boat? |

It is a tedious process which requires scheduled maintenance including, but not limited to, daily cleaning, cleaning fuel and water tanks, garbage disposal, waxing of hull, underwater cleaning of barnacles, topping of fuel and oil whenever the boat is to be made ready for use. And above all, manning the boat for security. Recognizing this, Mahindra Odyssea has put together service and maintenance packages customized for your needs.

How much does the monthly maintenance cost? |
